The mighty Manawydan returns with their second Liminal Dread outing: the Wabash EP. With two new tracks on display and 3 remixes, this EP covers the wide breadth of styles and moods the Ohioan can evoke. The title track focuses on the 1791 battle of the same name, which saw indigenous forces successfully repel imperialist invaders from the Ohio river valley. As the EP progresses, Trip-hop influences are brought to the forefront with a cover of the Cocteau Twins classic Musette & Drums, as well as bizarre electronica mangled renditions of the title track and Black Stag Rising collab "To Dust". This milieu of madness whets the appetite for the upcoming full length. Available digitally or on cassette with an accompanying mini-zine, this EP is sure to satisfy.
